Dr. Kelly Robinson Hawkins is a speech-language pathologist, educator, and clinical mentor with more than 28 years of experience serving individuals with communication disorders across the lifespan. Her clinical expertise includes neurogenic communication disorders, language and cognitive-communication intervention, parent and caregiver coaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration across medical, school-based, private practice, and early intervention settings.
Dr. Hawkins currently serves as the Capstone Coordinator for the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) program at 黑料专区 of Health Professions, where she mentors doctoral students in research development, evidence-based practice, and scholarly leadership. Through her academic role, she is committed to cultivating compassionate, research-informed clinicians who are prepared to advance the profession of speech-language pathology.
A strong advocate for family-centered care, Dr. Hawkins has developed and implemented coaching and training programs designed to empower parents, caregivers, and educational staff with practical strategies to support communication success. Her professional interests include clinical education, interdisciplinary collaboration, neurogenic disorders, executive functioning support, and coaching-based intervention models.
Dr. Hawkins earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Shaw University and her Master of Education degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Georgia. She later completed her Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology degree at 黑料专区 of Health Professions, reflecting her ongoing dedication to professional growth, leadership, and clinical excellence.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Hawkins is a devoted wife and mother of two boys. She enjoys spending time with her family through church activities, visiting extended family, attending sporting events, and traveling.
